Get Ready for a Sublime Interview
Although many relationships have moments of difficulty because of whatever personal growth issues we face, I’ve noticed a certain type of relationship that continually demonstrates peace and harmony which says as much about the relationship as the individuals who compose that relationship. While I wouldn’t say that a relationship filled with magic, harmony and sustained joy is “better” than one that is challenging and opens us up to fuller vision of ourselves, (indeed both have their place) I do know that this harmony is often a desirable experience for so many who seek communion with the Divine through human coupling.
Paul & Sylvia Henrichsen exemplify this type of relationship and have given many a healing on the possibility of what a Beloved relationship can be through how they demonstrate the love they have for one another.

Sylvia & Paul Henrichsen Paul & Sylvia met in Santa Cruz in 2001 and eloped to Kauai in Sept 2005 with the blessings of both their families. I thought it would give you a sense of who they are in the world by including the a prayer they chose for their wedding:
A Cherokee Prayer
“God in heaven above please protect the ones we love.
We honor all you created as we pledge our hearts and lives together. We honor mother earth–and ask for our marriage to be abundant and grow stronger through the seasons;
We honor fire–and ask that our union be warm and glowing with love in our hearts; We honor wind–and ask that we sail through life safe and calm as in our father’s arms; We honor water–to clean and soothe our relationship–that it may never thirst for love; With all the forces of the universe you created, we pray for harmony and true happiness as we forever grow young together. Amen.”
They love spending time together playing, traveling and caring for their 3 cats and all the wild animals that come to their home in Corralitos (skunk, raccoon, squirrels, even lynx!). As part of their vows express, they want to see the green and growing things of the Earth together. Growing more in unconditional loving is something they cherish and don’t take for granted. Laughter and play is a huge part of what makes their relationship light and fresh and fun, and keeps them young at heart!
Paul is a helicopter flight instructor with Specialized Helicopters in Watsonville. Sylvia has her masters degree in spiritual psychology and works as operations manager at Rejuvenate Training in Santa Cruz. They live in Corralitos with their three cats, Hobbes, Tiger and Mitzi…
